Ibiza starts the week with weather alert

A total of twelve autonomous communities will be this Monday at risk (yellow alert) for snow, rain, waves and strong gusts of wind. In Ibiza, the Aemet has activated for Monday the yellow alert for strong waves.

The Balearic Islands will remain under the influence of an arctic air mass that, together with the approach of a Mediterranean squall, is expected to leave precipitation in large areas. In Ibiza the State Meteorological Agency forecasts showers throughout the week until Sunday, when the clouds will begin to move away and temperatures will rise slightly.

The seasonal forecast in Spain indicates that this winter (December-January-February) will be marked by above normal temperatures across the country. These anomalies will be more prominent throughout the northern peninsular, as well as in the east and south peninsular. The Canary and Balearic Islands will also have warmer than normal temperatures.
