Originating in the 70s as Club San Rafael, the nightclub gained fame under Sigfrid Meir, a survivor of Auschwitz, distinguishing itself from misinformation linking Meir to the founding of Amnesia. Currently, construction is evident, with the site fenced off and a construction shed visible, though workers remain tight-lipped about internal developments. Ownership disputes have been settled in favor of the Matutes Group, which now oversees the 8.2 million euro renovation. Yann Pissenem of Usuhaïa Entertainment, a Matutes Group partner, is tasked with the club’s redesign, aiming to breathe new life into a venue that last saw maintenance before its 2019 closure.
