Holy Thursday and Good Friday processions are the central milestones of the religious events of Holy Week in Ibiza and Formentera, together with the Friday of Sorrows, with which the program begins this Friday, Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday.
Although there are acts and blessing of branches in all the parishes and processions in several of them, the most important acts take place in Vila, Santa Eulària and Formenteraalthough there are also processions in other places such as Puig d’en Valls and Sant Miquel.
These are the most important events of the Holy Week of Ibiza and Formentera:
mARCH 31. Friday of Sorrows
Eivissa
20 hours: Mass in the Cathedral followed by procession of Our Lady of Sorrows. Meeting with the Christ of the Cemetery and joint procession to the Patio de Armas. Singing of the Miserere.
Santa Eulària
19.30 hours: Mass followed by procession from the Lourdes chapel of the Hermandad Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza.
Puig d’en Valls
19 hours: Eucharist and procession.
SATURDAY, APRIL 1ST
Eivissa
20 hours: Mass and procession in honor of the Cristo de la Sangre de la Cofradía de Nuestra Señora de la Piedad by the Marina. Parish of Sant Elm. 20.30 hours: Contest of saetas and processional marches by the AM Jesus del Gran Poder in the parish of Rosario.

10.30 hours. Procession of palms from the Camí Vell parking lot to the parish church and mass.

11 a.m: Mass and blessing of branches. 7 p.m: Passos in the church and then mass.

10.30 hours: Living Stations of the Cross from the market to Puig de Missa. 12 noon: Concert by the Municipal Band in the Plaza de España. 18.30 hours: Celebration of the Lord’s Passion at Puig de Missa. 20 hours: Procession of the Holy Burial with departure and arrival at Puig de Missa.
