The best plans for the weekend in Ibiza and Formentera

Four carnival rúas, plenty of humour, craft fair, record fair, Ibizacinefest...

The Carnival takes center stage this weekend with a packed agenda of events. The streets of Sant Josep on Saturday and Vila, Formentera, and Sant Joan on Sunday will once again come alive with carnival parades.

But the festivities don’t stop there. Santa Eulària is hosting its Festival de l’Humor with Félix el Gato, Xavier Deltell, and El Sevilla headlining the event. On Sunday, the Puig de Missa Craft Fair, the most significant fair on the island, is also taking place.

Film lovers can look forward to the beginning of the Ibizacinefest festival screenings this weekend, which will pay tribute to Carlos Saura at the Can Jeroni cultural center in Sant Josep.

Music enthusiasts can enjoy the new edition of the Fira del Disc d’Eivissa, taking place on Saturday and Sunday at the marquee of Passeig de ses Fonts in Sant Antoni, along with the concert of Ibizan jazz musician Andrés Coll’s quartet on Saturday at Teatro Ibiza.

The Mal del Cap association is hosting its II Campus Desobedient, with two round tables on dissident communication. Formentera is hosting the V Cantada Pagesa on Saturday, organized by the area of Traditional Music of the Escola de Música i Dansa.

Art lovers can make the most of the last weekend of the Supermercat de l’Art, where they can purchase Ibiza art at affordable prices.

This weekend is packed with events, and it may be impossible to attend everything. It will be necessary to select very well.
