“The works on Camí del Calvarí are about to be completed. The road has been resurfaced and traffic lights are now being installed”, said the mayor of Ibiza, Rafael Triguero, on Saturday, referring to a key refurbishment ahead of the opening of the Parador de Ibiza. “Only street furniture and road signage remain, and in principle it should be operational next week, or at the latest by the third week of December, so everyone will be able to use and enjoy it”, the mayor added.
This road will serve as the main access to the Parador. Triguero also noted, following visits to the area last week, that “the Parador is already active”: “There are staff inside and we have seen furniture in the tunnel access. We remain in contact and, in fact, we have something scheduled before the end of the year, so that by the time FITUR arrives, if possible, we will be ready to announce a potential opening date”.
