Flies from Ibiza to Dublin with €440,000 worth of cannabis in 47 packets

Last Friday afternoon, a 33-year-old man was arrested at Dublin Airport’s Terminal 1 after getting off a flight from Ibiza when police found him in custody 47 packets of cannabis valued at about 440,000 euros reports Sunday World.

The arrest came as a result of a dog of the airport’s Customs service identified the luggage.

The detainee, an Irish national, reportedly appeared in court on Saturday, charged with illegal importation and possession of cannabis with intent to sell.

As a result of the seriousness of the offense, the judge handling his case charged him with denied him bail until October 31, when the trial will continue.

According to the Irish press, the detainee is a fisherman, has a son and several accumulated debts.
