Ressonadors and La Movida Ibiza, featuring DJs Petit & Vázquez, will headline a new edition of Estiu Jove on Saturday, September 5, at the Ibiza Fairground. Organized by the Ibiza Island Council’s Department of Youth and Citizen Participation, the event will offer free admission until capacity is reached, with doors opening from 7 p.m.
Ressonadors are scheduled to take the stage at 10 p.m. The group was created in 2008 by Joan Barbé and Omar Gisbert with the aim of bringing the traditional music of Ibiza and Formentera to new audiences through contemporary sounds. Over the years, the project has brought together numerous musicians and singers from across the Pitiusa Islands.
Ibiza’s Councillor for Youth and Citizen Participation, Marilina Ribas, highlighted the group’s “extraordinary journey, built in Ibiza and rooted in our music, culture and traditions.” She noted that Ressonadors had succeeded in bringing musicians and artists from different styles and generations together around a shared cultural heritage, while helping many traditional songs become part of the soundtrack of Ibiza, particularly for younger generations.

Ribas also stressed that Ressonadors’ continued presence on stage after so many years, their ability to attract audiences of all ages and the recognition they have received demonstrate how deeply the project has become part of Ibiza’s musical and cultural heritage.
The new edition of Estiu Jove was presented by Ribas alongside Joan Barbé and Omar Gisbert from Ressonadors, as well as DJ Petit from La Movida. Ribas explained that the event is intended as a major celebration open to the entire Ibiza community.
“We want Estiu Jove to capture the spirit of a traditional village festival, the kind of celebration where you run into friends, neighbours and familiar faces, and where everyone feels like going out, getting together and having a good time,” Ribas said.
She also highlighted the timing of the event. “After July and August, the busiest months of the Ibiza tourist season, when many people living on the island are completely focused on work, we want to create a space of our own for residents and locals: a night to reconnect and enjoy our island together,” she explained.
