The woman who has publicly accused well-known Ibiza DJ Guy Gerber since 2022 of drugging and raping her during a party was lying, according to a judge in Ibiza. The music producer, known for performing at exclusive venues in Ibiza, London, Los Angeles and New York, did not administer any substance to override her will, nor did he sexually assault her during a party they both attended on the Greek island of Mykonos in 2013. This is stated in the ruling issued by Ibiza Criminal Court No. 1, accessed by Prensa Ibérica’s investigations and current affairs channel. The court upheld the defence presented by the DJ, represented by lawyer Jaime Campaner, who maintained that the two had consensual sex that night.
Three and a half years after the woman — who never filed a police report or legal complaint against Gerber — launched a viral campaign against the DJ on social media under the slogan “Our time is now”, in which she encouraged other women to accuse him of sexual assault, magistrate Clara Ramírez de Arellano ruled that it had been proven that “the rape of which she accuses Gerber did not take place”.
In her decision, the judge states that the woman “attributed to Gerber a crime of rape knowing it to be false” and sentenced her to 15 months and one day in prison for a continuous offence of slander with publicity. She will also be required to publish the court ruling on her social media accounts for six months, as requested by the DJ.
