2 houses used for undercover prostitution in Sant Antoni dismantled

The Local Police of Sant Antoni and the National Police of Ibiza have carried out a joint operation aimed at monitoring activities in private homes in order to detect possible cases of covert prostitution. As a result, two houses have been inspected: one located in the urban centre of Sant Antoni and the other in the area of Sant Rafel.

The Sant Antoni City Council explains in a press release that, during the inspection carried out at the house in Sant Antoni, officers found evidence of prostitution activity, with payments made both in cash and by card. Inside the property, two women engaged in prostitution and one client were identified. This house had already been subject to three previous inspections in 2025 by UCRIF (Central Unit of Illegal Immigration Networks and Documentary Forgery) of the National Police of Ibiza.

Meanwhile, at the house located on the outskirts of Sant Rafel, prostitution activity was also detected. In this operation, three workers were identified, who stated that they provided their services voluntarily and in exchange for money, accepting payments in cash and by card. All the workers identified are foreign nationals, the council notes.

These operations are part of the joint actions between the two police forces, coordinated directly by the heads of the Local Police of Sant Antoni and the National Police, in order to strengthen surveillance and control illegal activities in the municipality.

The operation involved non-uniformed agents of the UCRIF of the National Police, as well as plainclothes officers of the Local Police of Sant Antoni.

The Councillor for Public Safety, Neus Mateu, expressed her gratitude for the work carried out by the officers and stressed the importance of coordination between administrations to ensure coexistence and compliance with regulations.

Following the inspections, the Department of Activities of the Sant Antoni City Council will open the corresponding administrative proceedings. For its part, the National Police Station will initiate the appropriate administrative procedures concerning the individuals identified.
