The Provincial Court of the Balearic Islands has convicted eight people for their involvement in a drug trafficking network based in Sant Antoni, which operated under the cover of the luxury car rental company Ibiza VIP Cars.
The court sentenced the defendants to prison terms of up to six years and imposed fines exceeding €21 million in total. In addition, authorities ordered the confiscation of several high-end vehicles and large sums of cash.
The ruling states that the convicted individuals were part of a stable and hierarchical organisation dedicated to the sale of cocaine, ketamine, MDMA, ‘tusi’, marijuana and hashish, with the goal of expanding their distribution network across the island.
