Ibiza Town Council, in collaboration with the Consell Insular and local merchants’ and neighbourhood associations, has organised a series of activities to celebrate Halloween and Tots Sants, bringing life to the municipal markets and the city’s main shopping areas.
At the request of local traders, on 31 October and 1 November there will be a parade featuring Catrinas, live music and street performances. Three costumed artists will tour the main commercial areas for eight hours, divided between morning and afternoon sessions, to create a festive atmosphere and promote shopping during the Halloween campaign. In addition, 200 kilos of sweets will be distributed among participating businesses and stalls at the Mercat Nou, which is already decorated for Halloween and will remain so until Sunday, 2 November.
Party in Bob Marley Square
On the morning of Saturday, 1 November, Mercat Nou will host a Tots Sants preserved flower workshop for up to 20 participants, to be held in the room on the second floor. That same day, in the neighbourhood of es Pratet, the Neighbourhood Association has organised a festive event in Bob Marley Square, featuring a popular paella, drinks bar, background music, and at 4 p.m., a Tots Sants bouquet workshop for 20 people at the association’s premises.
These activities aim to revitalise local markets and shops, encourage community participation, and strengthen the connection between commerce and popular culture.
The Councillor for Trade and Markets, Àlex Minchiotti, expressed his gratitude to the Consell Insular for its collaboration in this initiative, which seeks to boost the capital’s commercial sector and consolidate the municipal markets as places of tradition and community.
