One of the brawls this summer on a Ryanair flight has resulted in a fine of 270 euros for the passenger The man, who was traveling from Ibiza to Alicante on June 4 on flight FR7567 physically assaulted a crew member during the trip. Details of the dispute have not been disclosed, but now the Alicante courts have ordered the “disruptive” passenger to pay this penalty to the company.
Ryanair has welcomed the decision and reported it in a statement in which it stressed that it is committed to “ensuring that all passengers and crew travel in a comfortable and stress-free environment, without unnecessary disruption caused by a small minority of disruptive passengers.”
“Ryanair has a strict zero tolerance policy towards passenger misbehavior and will continue to take action to combat such behavior for the benefit of the vast majority of those who do not disrupt flights,” the airline noted.
In this regard, Ryanair’s Director of Communication in Spain, Alejandra Ruiz, has stated that the company welcomes “with satisfaction” the conviction of a court in Alicante to this “conflictive” passenger, whose “inexcusable behavior interrupted a flight from Ibiza to Alicante last June.”
“This demonstrates just one of the many consequences that passengers who disrupt flights will face as part of Ryanair’s zero tolerance policy. We hope this will further prevent disruptive behavior on flights so that both passengers and crew can travel in a comfortable and respectful environment,” he said.
