The Formentera corner that redefines self-care

Formentera is known for its beaches and relaxed atmosphere, but in recent years it has also established itself as a wellness destination. In this context, Teranka has managed to stand out with a proposal that combines relaxation, personalized health programs and a cultural agenda open to both its guests and external visitors. Located on Migjorn beach, the hotel offers a space in which every detail is designed to promote calm and connection with the environment

Guests staying at Teranka find a offer adapted to different needs, from yoga and meditation sessions at sunrise to activities designed to experience the island in a more conscious way. The cuisine, based on local and seasonal products, completes an experience that seeks to take care of both body and mind.

A wellness program adapted

The ‘Essence of Flow’ program is the basis of the hotel’s proposal. It is not a rigid schedule, but a personalized accompaniment that caters to the physical, emotional and mental balance of each guest. To this is added the presence of international specialists, known as ‘Luminaries’, who reinforce the offer with different care techniques

In this season participate experts in Ayurveda and Panchakarma purification, reiki and lymphatic drainage professionals and reflexology therapists or Kobido massage. Their residencies are complemented by weekly workshops, sound meditations, guided walks and small group experiences that allow you to connect with the island’s nature.

Teranka’s library is one of the hotel’s most welcoming spaces.

The hotel’s philosophy is also reflected in its design. With 35 rooms spread across three whitewashed buildings, Teranka combines Mediterranean style with art installations selected by curator Katrina Phillips. The collection includes hand-woven tapestries, sculptures and drawings made mainly by women artists, which brings a cultural and artisanal dimension to the common spaces.

The cultural bet is materialized in the Sea Library, a space designed to promote the exchange of ideas. Meetings are held there with artists, writers and thinkers who share with the public their creative processes and their relationship with Formentera.

The last event took place on August 17, when resident artists Anna Ametller and Elizabeth Rose Langford starred in a conversation about art and territory. Both have created pieces inspired by the island’s textures and serene rhythm, and explained how nature has influenced their work. The activity is also available for visitors not staying at the hotel with the possibility of completing the experience with lunch at the restaurant.

Upcoming events at Teranka Formentera

On September 27 will be the turn of a hands-on workshop led by Elizabeth Rose Langford under the title Earth and Ochre. In it, participants will prepare natural pigments from raw ochre and apply them in a meditative drawing exercise. The activity, which can also be combined with lunch, offers a different experience that connects art and nature in a direct way

With this combination of wellness, art and culture, Teranka has established itself as a unique space in Formentera. Its proposal goes beyond traditional accommodation and seeks that each stay becomes an opportunity to rest, take care of yourself and discover new ways of relating to the island.
