Mayan Queen IV, the regular Balearic megayacht that has rescued 106 migrants from shipwreck in Greece, in Ibiza

It is called Mayan Queen IV has 93 meters in length is one of the most luxurious megayachts in the Mediterranean y is now in Ibiza after passing through Palma. It also has a helipad at the bow, a bar area outside, gym, jacuzzi y different terraces outside for sunbathing and the master suite has an “invisible” balcony that appears through a sliding platformits cruising speed is 22 knots.

Its owner, Mexican businessman Alberto Baillèreschairman of Bal Groupa conglomerate that includes businesses in the trade, mining, metallurgy, insurance y financesand the main shareholder of Grupo Peñoles, El Palacio de Hierro y GNP Insurancedied in February 2022. The vessel was then inherited by his family.

The yacht already made headlines in Greece in September 2018, when it was held up on the Ionian island of Kefalonia, as a result of the death of the model Sinead McNamaraa 20-year-old influencer and model, whose lifeless body was found in the stern of the ship, as published by El Heraldo de Mexico. The Mexican magnate had disembarked two days before the tragic event.
