The valley des Rafal Trobat will be the scene of the excursion scheduled for this Sunday, April 27. Under the title ‘La vall des Rafal Trobat des de la visió de l’arxiduc Lluís Salvador i evolució actual’, the activity proposes to tour this natural environment from a double point of view, that of the famous archduke who documented it in the nineteenth century and that of the neighbors who today work for its conservation.

The departure is scheduled at 10 am from the Club de Campo and the itinerary will head towards the geodesic point of Mount des Merlet or Mount sa Pega, a point from where you can see much of the landscape of the valley. The hike will last approximately four hours, with a low-medium level of difficulty and has been proposed as an activity suitable for families, ideal to enjoy in a group and at a pace accessible to most.
Throughout the tour, participants will learn more about the history of the valley thanks to the details that, two centuries ago, the Archduke Lluís Salvador collected from this environment. In addition, the evolution of the landscape and the projects that currently contribute to its protection will be discussed. It will be the neighbors themselves who will provide information on the work of recovery and maintenance of the valley, the project for the recovery of the Ibizan bee and Projecte Calàpet, as well as on forest management tasks carried out to prevent fires and promote a healthier environment.
To enjoy the excursion in comfort and safety, the organization recommends wearing appropriate footwear for walking on rural trails.
