The Ibizan photographer José Antonio Hervás captured a spectacular image from Ibiza early this Thursday morning of the planetary conjunction formed by Venus, the Moon and Saturn. The photograph that Hervás has shared on his social networks was taken from Platja d’en Bossa at around 5:40 am.
“I arrived about 30 minutes early, as Venus would make its appearance before the Moon, and shortly after when the Moon appeared also just to the right, in a very discreet way, Saturn was also peeking out: a tiny dot of light just above the illuminated beacon of Es Dau Gros“, explains Hervás to this newspaper. “I was lucky to find a completely clear sky and a sea in absolute calm, which allowed me to capture the perfect reflection of the lights of Venus and the moon on the water,” says the photographer.
José Antonio Hervás has two of his images published in the NASA Picture Day. The Moon is the protagonist in his Instagram account @joseahervas, in which the satellite appears with emblematic backgrounds of the island such as the cathedral of Ibiza, Dalt Vila, the Torres de ses Portes, the Moscarter lighthouse or es Vedrà.
