The Ibiza Leisure Association “strongly condemns” the illegal party called through social networks by the famous dj Diplo in Cala d’Hort, in front of es Vedrà, a highly protected area for its natural value.
“Ocio de Ibiza has always demanded to its associates maximum respect for the rules of coexistence with the resident population and works from within the sector and in collaboration with the Administration in favor of excellence. Events such as those that occurred in Cala d’Hort are tremendously damaging to the leisure sector on the island,” explains the association in a press release.
The objective of Ocio de Ibiza, as they explain, is to improve the image of a sector that places Ibiza as “world leader” and represents a segment of great relevance for this reason the group “has been working for years in collaboration with the island’s institutions to put an end to the worrying plague of illegal parties”, they point out.
Following that marked line of work, the Ibiza Leisure Association advocates for that the weight of the law falls on those responsible for the activity held in the area of Cala d’Hort. “From Ocio de Ibiza we understand that these are very unfortunate events that only contribute to tarnish the image of the leisure sector. The area of Cala d’Hort is a magical area that for some years has attracted hundreds of people to watch the sunset and at the same time there are already many citizens who have demonstrated in defense of this environmentally sensitive area. In Ibiza not everything goes”, they conclude in the communiqué.
