In this first weekend of March several programs of leisure and cultural activities are mixed, the Day of the Balearic Islands with the Women’s Day, in addition to the festivities of Santa Eulària. The latter have on Saturday one of their most anticipated appointments, the Fira des Gerret, which returns after a two-year hiatus and is sure to fill the streets with people eager to enjoy this fish so well known in Pitiusa’s gastronomy.
On Women’s Day, among other activities, include the theater play ‘Juicio a una zorra'[Trial of a slut]the whole weekend at the auditorium of Can Ventosa, and the Cursa and the Walk for Womenwhich are held on Sunday.
And of the Day of the Balearic Islands, on concert by Ángela Cervantes on Saturday in Formentera, the Artisan Market which will take place on Saturday and Sunday at the Antoni Albert i Nieto square in Vila with artisans from all the islands, or the meeting Illes Balears per la Cançóon Saturday at the Cas Serres Auditorium.
Sunday in the garden of Las Daliasstarting at 12 o’clock, there is a charity event, ‘Helping hands, happy faces’organized together with the promoter Pareidolia and with the collaboration of Dipef to raise funds to help the victims of the earthquakes in Syria and Turkey.
In addition, literature lovers have an appointment this Thursday at the Can Ventosa library, with the presentation of the latest novel by Valencian writer Ferran Torrent, ‘Memòries de mi mateix’.
