After Santa Claus visits and Christmas is over, this week, everything is focused on New Year Eve celebrations and waiting for the arrival of the Three Wise Men next week.
Kids are still the focus of the various City Council’s Christmas programs, with children’s cinema screenings, workshops and shows.
Sant Josep has an exciting offering for this week with the I Festival de Titelles i Marionetes every afternoon in the gymnasium of the L’Urgell school, with different shows, the traditional workshops with Guisante and a snack for all the kids.
In addition, throughout the week the two Diverespai events are open, Ibiza takes place in at the fairgrounds and the Formentera event at the sports center of the Marc Ferrer High School, with inflatables, games, workshops and shows for kids and youths.
Music also takes center stage this week, especially on Friday, with concerts by the Ibiza group Young Dolores in Vila, the tribute to Heroes del Silencio Iberia Submerged in Sant Josep and a more intimate ‘Sax & Love’ in Puig d’en Valls
There are several New Year’s Eve parties scheduled, the first in Sant Josep, which as usual offers the grapes up early in the plaza at 12 noon. After the bells chime, there are parties scheduled in the Puig d’en Valls marquee in the neighborhood of Can Bonet in Sant Antoni and in the sa Senieta de Formentera marquee, with a concert by the cover band Bruixa Express.
On Sunday January 1st several masses with caramelles are scheduled and a New Year’s opera and zarzuela concert at the Palacio de Congresos de Santa Eulària.
