UD Ibiza bid farewell yesterday to its debut season in LaLiga SmartBank with a dramatic defeat against Real Oviedo at the Carlos Tartiere stadium (3-2). The Ibizan side equalized twice thanks to goals from Claverías, a debutant in the league, and Davo, but ended up losing on penalty in the last minute after having their rival against the ropes. UD Ibizan went from the comeback to fall in the last minute against an Oviedo team that mistakenly sealed the qualification for the ‘play-off’ after the final whistle.
Paco Jémez‘ final line-up of the season the included the young midfielder Alejandro Claverías’ debut in Second Division, due to the absences of Manu Molina, Javi Pérez and Kevin Appin. The reserve team player accompanied Javi Lara in the midfield, who started in his farewell as a Celeste alongside David Morillas at left back. The entry of Álex in goal, Rubén in midfield and Miki Villar on the wing were the other novelties in the island formation.
