Andrea Romero wrote her name in gold again yesterday in the best cross country race in the world. The athlete from Formentera conquered the victory in the under-23 female race of the Cross Internacional de Atapuerca, giving a real lesson in strategy and power to impose herself with an enormous advantage over her rivals, a total of 66 on the starting line.

Andrea Romero completed the 5,870 meters of the demanding Burgos course with a time of 20 minutes and 37 seconds, leaving the Catalan Laura Rodríguez 25 seconds behind. Ãngela Viciosa from Valladolid completed the podium in the international event, which also towards the Spanish Club Cross Country Championship.
