The 11 occupants of the last boat have been located early this morning on the beach of s'Estufador, in Formentera

The Government Delegation of the Balearic Islands has reported this morning the arrival of a ninth boat in Formentera. Between 11:50pm and 4:00am this morning, 11 people were located in the area of s’Estufador beach, in Formentera, by the Public Safety patrols. All of the migrants are men and are in apparent good health, according to the communication service.

With this last boat, more than a hundred migrants, a total of 136, according to the Government Delegation of the Balearic Islands, have arrived to the coast of Ibiza and Formentera since Saturday. All of them have disembarked from at least nine boats: three on Saturday, five in the early hours of the morning on Sunday and one in the early on Monday. All have landed in Formentera except for the eighth, which was located after half past six on Sunday afternoon 30 miles southeast of the port of Ibiza.

Salvamento Marítimo went out to locate the boat at mid-afternoon, after another boat, the ‘Karl Jakob K’, reported the sighting. When they reached the boat, it was 19 men “showing signs of fatigue and dizziness” , said the Government Delegation. Salvamento Marítimo explained that the idea was to transfer this group of migrants to a ship in the port of Sant Antoni.
