The best weekend plans on Ibiza and Formentera

A weekend of fiestas with music and the Jazz Point Ibiza festival, as well as the musical 'The Code' at Can Ventosa

The music and concerts are the stars of a good part of the programs for the patron saint festivals, which in the months of September and October are repeated in many localities of the islands. This week, Pilar de la Mola, Cala de Bou, and es Cubells celebrate their festivals and the program of Sant Rafel begins.

In es Cubells concerts are scheduled for Friday, with Martín Burguez & César Crespo Quartet and the tribute to El Último de la Fila Lo Mejor del Último, and on Saturday with Ses Sopris, Combo Calada and Billy Flamingos.

Cala de Bou celebrates another year of its Rock Express on Saturday, the tourist train that takes you through the bars in the area, which offers live music.

The program of Sant Rafel begins on Thursday with the proclamation and delivery of the award Forca de Fang and Sunday has one of its most popular activities: the Folklòric Festival.

Among the many activities planned is the Jazz Point Ibiza Festival, with four days over the weekend from Thursday to Sunday with amazing offerings with young musicians.

Also noteworthy this weekend is the premiere of the musical ‘El Código’, by Chris Martos, who after the book, the album and the short film embarks on a new adventure.

There is also a new show from the Temporada de Dansa del Consell, ‘Devenir’, on Saturday at Cas Serres, and a play by the company of the well-known María Casal, ‘Ballenas Asesinas’, on Sunday at es Caló de s’Oli.
