The Ibiza Town Hall has opened the registration period to participate in the Rúa de Carnaval on the 10th of February from 5 pm onwards. The Department of Festivities has announced that it will distribute 18,000 euros, 6,000 more than in 2023, among the winners in the five categories: school groups, social groups, dance academies, groups in general and individual or couple.
According to the City Council in a statement, those interested in participating in the parade can register until February 8, through the Electronic Headquarters (https://eivissa.sedelectronica.es) and in person at the Citizen Service.
The carnival procession will start from Santa Eulària Avenue and will pass through Bartomeu Rosselló, Isidor Macabich Avenue, País Valenciano Street and España Avenue. The point of arrival will be Vara de Rey. The concentration of the comparsas will take place in Santa Eulària Avenue at 3.30 pm.
18.000 euros in prizes
The City Council has informed that a maximum of 18 prizes will be awarded in this call, to the following modalities, with the maximum total amounts indicated below:
Comparsas of school environment (Colleges, schools, institutes, APIMA and others):
First prize 1.700 €
Second prize 1.200 €
Third prize 900 €
Fourth prize 500 €
Comparsas de ámbito social (Neighborhood associations and non-profit associations):
First prize 1.700 €
