Vueling, the low-cost airline, has chosen not to appeal a 30,000 euro fine imposed by the Catalan administration for its discriminatory dress code practices. The fine was the result of a complaint filed by the cabin crew union, Stavla.
Vueling had been enforcing stricter dress codes for women, which was seen as a violation of equality standards. Instead of appealing, the company will pay the fine promptly, receiving a 40% discount. Vueling is now working on making its style guide more inclusive and eliminating gender distinctions in its dress code requirements.
