The Guardia Civil has arrested three people in Ibiza for the attempted kidnapping of a man, of whom no details are provided. The attempted kidnapping took place at the beginning of last week in the center of Ibiza town and among those arrested is the alleged instigator of the crime, a woman who is apparently estranged from the victim and with whom she has pending court cases. The other two people related to the case were the ones who allegedly located and kidnapped the man.

“The man, 39 years old, was walking through the center of Ibiza towards his car. At that moment, he was surprised by several unknown persons, who assaulted him and put him in a car along with two of the aggressors,” the note tells. In addition, the Guardia Civil emphasizes that the victim asked for help and a woman who witnessed the situation “called Emergencies, gave the license plate and made a description of the vehicle and the direction of escape”.

The Guardia Civil recounts, “when the woman called a search and location device was initiated by the Security Forces and Corps of Ibiza, coordinated from the Civil Guard of Sant Josep and moments later a patrol of Local Police of Sant Josep observed that the vehicle was going towards Cala Tarida, where another patrol of the Civil Guard intercepted it and arrested the two aggressors with the support of Local Police”. In addition, the note explains that the victim was taken to the doctor because he was injured and very nervous.

When the agents searched the detainees’ belongings, they found, the note recounts, two bottles of salfuman, an iron clamp and pliers. “They did not give explanations as to why they were carrying these objects,” explains the communiqué.

After further investigations, the Guardia Civil tells that a woman was arrested for inducing the kidnapping, “who ordered it because he was in enmity with the man and there were judicial complaints between them.”
