Ryanair today welcomed its new base in Ibiza and unveiled its flight schedule with 35 routes by summer 2023, including a new route to Liverpool, as well as increased frequencies on 7 of the most popular routes, including Malaga, Valencia and Barcelona, the company explained in a press release. With this record schedule, Ryanair will base an aircraft in Ibiza for the summer of 2023, with an investment of 100 million dollars.

This airline, which has a 24% market share, with the opening of its summer base, “will operate over 385 weekly flights to/from Ibiza during the summer of 2023 (13% growth over summer 2022), offering Ibiza’s citizens/visitors the widest choice with the lowest fares in Europe when booking their summer getaways, while increasing both tourism and employment. This unparalleled growth is supported by the addition of a new Ryanair aircraft at Ibiza airport, an investment of $100 million and the creation of 30 new jobs,” the note states.

“This 2023 Ryanair also celebrates 15 years since the start of its operations in Ibiza. Since it first landed, with flights to Milan Bergamo and London Stansted in 2008, Ryanair has to date carried more than 18.8 million passengers to or from the popular destination, reaching a major milestone for the airport and the region,” says Elena Cabrera, Ryanair’s Country Manager for Spain.
