The Sant Antoni City Council has sealed the musical reproduction equipment of a nightclub establishment in the municipality located in Calle Santa Agnès in West End, for minipulating the limiter, emitting more decibels than allowed, reports the Consistory in a statement. According to the statement, with the excess noise the premises violated the Municipal Ordinance Regulating Noise and Vibration.
The nightclub premises was inspected this weekend by agents from the Sant Antoni Policía Local and an inspector from the City Council, which adopted the precautionary measure of suspending the musical activity for not ensuring that the limits of sound transmission were met and being located in the Special Noise Protection Zone (ZPAE).
The nightclub’s music equipment had been manipulated
As they verified, the existing acoustic limitation in the installed equipment allowed the emission at levels much higher than those of the acoustic study reference. In fact, the inspection revealed the possibility of sound reproduction above 110 decibels, when the limit must not exceed 95 decibels, highlights the statement.
During the tourist season, the City Council of Sant Antoni ordered the sealing of the music equipment of five other premises, as well as a club’s light projection screens for not complying with the regulations in force regarding noise and light pollution, lists the Consistory.
