The illegal sale of mojitos continues at the viewpoints of es Vedrà, despite efforts by the City Council of Sant Josep and the Local Police to curb the activity. Sellers, who admit to lacking licenses and evading taxes, claim they keep the area clean and are regularly fined, with penalties starting at €1,500. The Local Police have issued five fines this year, and while the increased police presence has led to more enforcement, the underground economy remains profitable. The Consistory is coordinating with environmental agents to enhance surveillance and is considering additional measures for next year.
