A 21-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman both Spanish, died last night in a motorcycle accident. According to the Emergency Medical Attention Service (SAMU) 061 the accident occurred at around 11:00pm when the vehicle left the road. No other vehicles were involved.
The accident took place on the PM-804 the road linking Santa Gertrudis y Sant Mateu in the municipality of Santa Eulària, at kilometer point 2.5, as reported by the Guardia Civil.
The 061 sent two advanced life support ambulances to the area, but when the paramedics arrived they found that the two young victims had already died and could only verify the absence of vital signs in both victims and confirm their death.
The Guardia Civil are investigating the circumstances in which the incident occurred.
