Influencer who reported a 500,000 euro robbery on Ibiza arrested for death threats

New York socialite and influencer attacked her housekeeper when she demanded money owed to her

The New York influencer and socialite, who on occasion has compared herself to Lady Di, Libbie Mugrabi, is now making headlines after being arrested on Tuesday for death threats and criminal possession of a weapon. As reported today by the New York Post, the 43-year-old millionaire threatened to kill her housekeeper with a knife this summer and smashed her cell phone after her employee demanded payment of a debt.

Now, the influencer has been arrested and formally charged. Once a judge read her the charges, Mugrabi was released pending trial.

Shortly before she assaulted her employee, she was on vacation on Ibiza, where she was also involved in another incident.

Influencer has half a million dollars stolen from an Ibiza hotel

Mugrabi, who takes her surname from billionaire David Mugrabi, whom she divorced last year after a messy trial that earned her $100 million, went on vacation at a luxury resort on Ibiza, where she was to record a lifestyle show for German broadcaster RTL.

According to the New York Post, when she packed his bags to continue her trip to the French Riviera, the influencer discovered that she was missing “half a million dollars worth of goods”: Cartier jewelry, Balenciaga pieces, diamond hats and crocodile-skin shoes, among other things.

Mugrabi approached the hotel reception and said he did not intend to pay the bill for her stay until the alleged theft was resolved, whereupon the reception called the police.

When the officers arrived, they told the socialite that she should go to the police station to file a report, but she refused.

Instead, she paid the bill and continued her trip as planned to the city of Cannes, France.

She also claims that once in Cannes she discovered that her exclusive Chase Saphire credit card had allegedly been used by the thieves, who emptied her account of $140,000, but she did not report it to the authorities, but rather informed her bank.
