Ibiza Jazz, the long-awaited date with the best jazz in the city of Ibiza, kicked off yesterday, just like last year, with the screening of a jazz-themed film in Sota Vila square. Yesterday, at 9 pm, the film ‘Bird’ was screened in the original version with Spanish subtitles. This first day, and the two consecutive ones (today and tomorrow), are free of charge.

On the second day, which takes place today, local talent will be the protagonist with the presentation, in Vara de Rey, of the Íchos project. This group is made up entirely of musicians from Ibiza who will offer, above all, hard bop songs, covers and especially their own songs.
The third free day will be tomorrow, Wednesday, at the Reina Sofia Park, with the performances of David Sancho Trio and a new opportunity to see the Big Band Ciutat d’Ibiza. The concerts will be at 9 pm and 10 pm.

In addition, the Ibiza Town Hall recalls that tickets for August 31 and September 1 and 2 can also be purchased on the website of the City Council www.eivissa.es and in person at the cultural space of Can Ventosa for a price of 12 euros per night (two concerts), as well as from 8 pm at the box office of the Baluarte de Santa Llúcia, on the days of the concerts.
For people who want to travel by bus to Dalt Vila, with the line 45, this service will be free of charge on presentation of the ticket of the ibiza festival Jazz on August 31st, 1st and 2nd September. Residents of Formentera can enjoy a 35% discount on tickets purchased from the shipping company Formentera Lines for their trip to the Ibiza Jazz Festival by presenting the tickets to the festival on the same days.
