After the inauguration of the Christmas festivities last November 30, the Ibiza Town Hall continues with the Christmas celebrations, which in this second week will be loaded with music in the streets. The activities will take place on December 13th, 14th and 15th and there will be three specific ones that will be repeated, all in Paseo de Vara de Rey. For starters, the ‘Office 07800’ will be set up where people can put their letters to send to Santa Claus, if they haven’t already done so. On Friday, the 13th, the mailbox will only be open in the afternoon (from 5 pm to 8 pm), while on Saturday and Sunday it will also be open in the mornings (from 11.30 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm). There will also be bouncy castles where the little ones can bounce on Friday afternoon (from 17.00 to 20.30 hours) and the weekend also during the morning (from 11.00 to 14.00 and from 17.00 to 20.30 hours). “Finally, as this will be a Christmas to remember, there will be a photocall to take the best pictures” that will be available all three days from 19 to 20.30 hours, reports the City Council in a note.
In addition to the above activities, on the 13th at 6 pm at the Paseo de Vara de Rey will start the Dance Festival this Christmas where the Ibiza Dance Academy will make several performances. Then, from 20.30 hours Miss Arantzazu and Joan Guasch will offer a concert in the Plaza del Parque.
On Saturday, December 14, in the Paseo de Vara de Rey will be the following activities: from 10.30 to 11.30 there will be a storytelling at the Santa Claus booth, where there will also be creative workshops for children until 13 hours; in addition, the Cor Veus Joves will sing to Christmas led by Lourdes Roig, accompanied on piano by Miguel San Miguel and drums by Pedro Escandell; finally, at 18 hours will be held the second day of the Dance Festival, in this case conducted by the Davinia Van Praag Dance Academy. But, the celebrations will not only be in Vara de Rey, the Santa’s Band of the Road, the most rocking band of Christmas, will make a traveling concert from 11 am to 3 pm that will start in the center of Vila and will go through Ca n’Escandell, ses Figueretes and end in Platja d’en Bossa. In the Plaza Julià Verdera from 16 to 20 hours there will be a Christmas festival for the whole family with workshops, games and animation. Finally, in the Plaza del Parque, Leyre Ibisate will offer a concert from 8.30 pm.
