Last February, the Ibiza airport counted a total of 193.799 passengers (between arrivals and departures), 7.9% more than in the same month of 2019, the last fiscal year before covid, and 15.5% more than in February 2022. Most of them traveled on commercial flights, specifically 192,820 travelers, reports Aeropuertos Nacionales y Navegación Aérea (AENA).

As for the national traffic, had an increase of 5.6% over February 2019 and 13.7% over the same month in 2022, with 176,915 travelers, while international accounted for a total of 15,905 passengers, up 33.4% over February 2019 and 31.2% over 2022.

Spain, the country with the highest number of passengers

Spain was the country that generated the most passengers in Ibiza in this second month of the year, followed by the Netherlands, which closed February with 7,934 travelers (-45.2% and 18.1%) and the United Kingdom, with 4,501 (-23.4% and 5.7%). France was the market with the biggest increase in passenger numbers with 1,103 more travelers than in February 2019 and 1,475 more travelers than in 2022.

In terms of cumulative traffic between January and February, 393,201 passengers passed through Ibiza airport, 11.6% more than in the same period of 2019 and 26% more than in 2022, Aena adds.

17.5% more flights compared to 2022

Es Codolar airport handled a total of 2,556 flights between takeoffs and landings, which is 21.4% more than in February 2019 and 17.5% more than in the same month of the previous year.

A total of 5,247 aircraft operations were handled. This is an increase of 18.6% compared to the same months of 2019, and 17.6% compared to January and February 2022. Of the total, 4,978 were commercial (18% and 19.2%).
