Two hamburgers from Ibiza compete to be the best in Spain

You can now vote for the best burger in the country. The fifth edition of the Hamburger Championship of Spain started this Thursday with nearly half a thousand delicious candidates, 447 to be precise.

Among them, there are two participants from Ibiza : la Venom Burger, from Camelot Café (Ibiza) and the Motañesa Dry Aged from Kitchen 62 (Sant Antoni).

Venom Burger

The Venom Burger is made with beef, pork, gouda cheese, fried onions and homemade sauce. According to its creators “it is a burger that embodies the intensity, flavor and indomitable character of its name. Inspired by the iconic Marvel character, this creation is a dark and bold delight, designed to conquer the most demanding palates”.

It features “a carne Premium smash grilled, juicy and full of flavor, accompanied with shredded meat cooked at low temperatureachieving a perfect contrast between tender and juicy textures. As well as a generous dose of grilled Gouda cheese, which adds creaminess and a smoky touch that envelops every bite. It has fried, crispy and caramelized sweet onion, to provide a balance between sweetness and texture,” the description reads.

“Culminated with our exclusive American whiskey demigla sauce, an explosion of depth and character that adds an elegant and slightly daring touch”, Camelot Café assures.

Montañesa Dry Aged

Its competitor, the Montañesa Dry Aged is made with 200 grams of 40-day dry-aged beef, premium beef jerky, 12-month aged cheddar cheese, caramelized red bell pepper and ranch sauce.

In the description its creators explain that this burger combines this dry-aged meatwith an intense flavor, and premium beef jerky, “which adds a smoky touch that enhances the meat’s nuances, intensifying its unique character”. In addition, “the aged cheddar cheese 12 months adds creaminess and depth, while the caramelized red bell pepper introduces a sweet contrast that balances the more powerful flavors, they detail. Everything is complemented by the sauce ranch fresh and light, which harmonizes the flavors for a unique experience”.

Voting can be done until March 2 on the website https://lamejorhamburguesa.com/. To vote for a burger, you must enter the code provided by the establishment where you purchased it.

In total, when casting your vote, the contest evaluates three aspects and ends with an overall score from one to five, with five being a perfect burger and one being a burger that you would not repeat.
