The Minister of European Funds, University and Culture, Miquel Company, announced yesterday that the Govern will dedicate staff exclusively to advise SMEs on the approach and orientation of projects that seek to receive public aid from Next Generation European funds.
The boost coincides with the publication of 27 new calls for Next Generation EU aid for the second half of the year for an amount of 243 million euros.
The program of measures for SMEs also includes a website (www.caib.se/sites/oie/ca/empreses) with calls for aid specifically aimed at companies. The data is updated daily and allows constant monitoring of grants, as well as personalized searches by type of financing, area and even by key words.
The Strategic Investment Office (SIO) staff will assist SMEs in approaching and targeting projects, the assessment of possible sources of financing for projects and their specific fit within the calls for the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism (RRM), the dynamization of SMEs to achieve their maximum involvement in strategic projects, the coordination with the Network of Public Business Services and Local Development Agents as a channel for disseminating information and detecting initiatives at the local level. In addition, lines of aid will be offered for the drafting and implementation of projects.
“A key moment”
Company, together with the director of the OIE, Joan Carrió, presented the measures to the employers of Mallorca in a meeting with the head of Economy and Business of CAEB, Marga Adrover; the vice president of CAEB, Jose Antonio Rosello, and the president of Pimem, Jordi Mora.
“It is a key moment, unprecedented, for the SMEs of our territory. The possibility to access European Next Generation funds for small and medium-sized enterprises increases in the second half of 2022 and almost 60% of the calls are directed at the SME business sector, the economic engine of the Balearic Islands,” said Miquel Company.
“The execution of Next Generation funds is a little delayed”, to the point that, according to some estimates, “less than 10% of direct aid has reached the companies, a very low percentage”
