Balears recorded during 2022 a total of 330 foreclosures on homes, 47% more than in 2021, when there were 224, according to data published Monday by the National Statistics Institute (INE).

In detail, during last year in the Balearic Islands 458 foreclosures on properties were certified. Of these, 29 were rustic properties, 13 were urban plots and 86 were other types of urban properties, according to the INE.

Of the 330 homes foreclosed on, 181 were owned by individuals and 149 by legal entities; 72 were new homes and 258 were used.

In the fourth quarter alone, in the Balearic Islands, 104 foreclosures on properties were certified, of which 70 were dwellings (50 owned by individuals and 20 by legal entities), the statistics also point out.
