The Hotel Pikes in Sant Antoni will host on next Tuesday 21st September the launch of ‘Baleàric. Historia oral de la cultura de club en Ibiza’, by Luis Costa and Christian Len, published last year by Contra and had delayed its release on the island because of the pandemic.
The presentation will feature the participation in the booth of almost twenty of its protagonists playing 12 hours of balearic, from midday to midnight, a round table with its authors moderated by Andy Wilson, a closing cocktail party and numerous guests who are “references in the island’s musical history”, according to the organisers.
Both the authors and the publisher wanted to present the book on the island with as few limitations as possible, established by the different health protocols that continue with the pandemic still in force. In the end they will be able to do so in Pikes, one of the places that besides being very present in the book, “represents and maintains the authentic spirit and essence of the magical island, through which the book travels”, they point out.
