The Civil Guard of Sant Josep has apprehended a 28-year-old Italian man for allegedly engaging in drug trafficking. The suspect, who has a long history of similar offenses, was involved in the operation of an active drug and medicine point of sale in Cala de Bou, which has now been closed.
Following a thorough investigation, the Civil Guard arrested the suspect and seized cocaine, hashish, MDMA, prescription drug tablets (Rivotril), and โฌ6,010 in cash from inside his vehicle. Rivotril, also known as clonazepam, is an anxiolytic drug that has sleep-inducing effects when consumed in high doses.
Subsequently, a search was conducted at the accused’s residence where various types of drugs were found in smaller quantities and also seized. After the suspect was brought to court, the Court of Instruction number 3 of Ibiza ordered his imprisonment without bail.
The arrest of the Italian national marks a significant victory in the fight against drug trafficking in the region.
