Active covid infections in the Pitiusas decrease again after two consecutive days of increase, according to the latest data published by the Balearic Ministry of Health. At the moment there are 356 people affected by the virus in Ibiza and Formentera, fourteen less than yesterday and the lowest figure recorded in the fall of this wave. This figure is reached after a day in which the Microbiology laboratory of the Can Misses Hospital detected nine positives, all of them on Ibiza.
The number of those hospitalized remains almost unchanged at 61, one less than yesterday. Of these, seven are in critical care units, one more than yesterday. Can Misses Hospital has 57 covid patients: 53 on the ward and four in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The patient from Formentera who is on the ward at the Hospital Son Espases, in Mallorca must be added to this. Also the three who are in the Policlínica Nuestra Señora del Rosario, all three in their own critical care unit.
295 people remain at home, in a mild or asymptomatic state: 279 on Ibiza and 16 on Formentera.
The number of infected health professionals has also been reduced with respect to Friday, from 42 to 35 during the weekend. Four others are under surveillance.
