The Court of Instruction number 1 of Ibiza, on duty, has agreed to the provisional imprisonment, elusible with a 3,000 euros bail, for the driver, a 30-year-old citizen of Peru, arrested for the fatal hit-and-run accident that occurred this Sunday in Cala de Bou, as reported by the Superior Court of Justice of the Balearic Islands.
The magistrate has imposed him periodic appearances in court, has imposed him withdrawn his driver’s license and has forbidden to leave the national territory. The driver tested positive for alcohol and negative for drugs.
The detainee was driving along the avenue of Cala de Bou towards Sant Antoni on Sunday at seven o’clock in the morning when ran over a pedestrian who was on the sidewalk. The detainee was at all times cooperative with the Local Police, who are investigating the facts.
