The icing on the cake. Who knows if that’s why Alicia Keys appeared dressed in red (and black and white) on the Ushuaรฏa stage on Sunday night. She was the big surprise, the mystery guest, the Swedish House Mafia’s best kept secret for their big closing.
Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello had already announced it. The closing of their season at the Platja d’en Bossa club would be a big one. All of them had played the intrigue by sharing on their networks a blurred image with the download symbol, but that was never downloaded. Just 24 hours before, the most astute sensed who was hiding behind the big surprise. And is that Alicia Keys, winner of countless Grammy awards, posted on Instagram a video in which she was seen flying in a private jet. The composer and singer danced to a melody and tagged the three djs. A video they all shared. A few hours later Keys shared an image of one of the island’s well-known sunsets. All you had to do was follow the dotted line.
And yes, finally, on the last leg of the party, Alicia Keys made her appearance on stage. Wrapped in smoke, amid tongues of flame, under a shower of glittering confetti, tucked under the spotlights. And in red. In contrast to the all-black that the three members of the Swedish musical mafia always wear. The singer performed, before the thousands of people dancing at the closing of the trio in Ushuaรฏa, the song ‘Finally’, a joint collaboration.

On the screens, just before the mystery was revealed, was projected the blurred image that the three had shared days before in networks: some black and white photographs in which they are seen twenty years ago and Alicia Keys, also very young. And ‘Finally’ is a version of ‘Kings of Tomorrow’, an acclaimed song by the singer from the beginning of the century.
“What a night!” say Swedish, who point out that this Friday the track will already be on all platforms. “Ibiza has already tasted it,” comment the musicians, who, after the session, shared dinner, laughs and memories of a “memorable” night.
