On International Working Women’s Day, designer Charo Ruiz brought together six successful professional women in Ibiza to discuss the obsession with beauty throughout history and the pressure that women face to conform to societal beauty standards.
The women agreed that every woman is beautiful, but the pressure to please others rather than oneself often overshadows this belief. Social media filters have contributed to the unrealistic beauty standards that women face today.
The women emphasized the importance of feeling good on the inside, and they noted that naturalness and diversity are key components of beauty. They also acknowledged that beauty boosts self-esteem and confidence. Charo Ruiz, who survived cancer, discussed the importance of feeling beautiful during difficult times and urged women to make an effort to look their best.
