The best plans for the weekend in Ibiza and Formentera

Disney songs by Gisela Lladó and the hooligan humour of 'El Sevilla'

‘Cuentos de payeses para adultos’ (Farmers’ Tales for Adults), starring José Ignacio Ricarte and directed by Encarna de las Heras. The main event will be on Saturday 13th November with ‘El Sevilla’, who will present his new monologue ‘La vida es rocanrol’ (Life is rock ‘n’ roll) in Eivissa. Laura Moreno and José Boto will close the festival on Sunday 14th November with ‘Humor con denominación de origen’. The three events are at Can Ventosa at 9pm. Tickets can be purchased on the Eivissa Town Hall website, eivissa.es.

Another of the highlights on the agenda, especially for children and fans of Disney films and music, is the concert by singer and former contestant on Operación Triunfo Gisela Lladó on Sunday 14th November in two sessions at 5pm and 7:30pm. It will be held at Can Ventosa. The activity is part of the program to commemorate Children’s Day organised by the Ibiza Town Hall.

This weekend traditional music lovers have the chance to enjoy the Festival Folk, organised by the Consell de Ibiza. On Friday 12th, Posidònia will perform; on Saturday 13th, Sis de Ponent, and on Sunday 14th, Imaràntia. All the concerts are scheduled for 9pm at the Cas Serres Social and Cultural Centre.

The activities from the festivities of Santa Gertrudis program also start in the coming days. Among them is that of Sunday 14th November, a day of tribute to the elderly of the parish

The Fira del Moll and Peixos de Tardor, that was to be held on 13th and 14th November, has been canceled due to weather forecasts.

DANCE

Saturday 13th November

2pm: ‘E Pur Si Muove’ (‘And yet it moves’). Oriental, ethnic and tribal dance festival. Organised by the Can Planeta Cultural Association. Part of the proceeds will go to the association Ponts per la Pau and the projects it develops to help Afghan women and children. At the Centre Cultural de Jesús.
